Hearts In Motion - "Take the Journey" from Louisville to Guatemala |

![]() Hearts in Motion first came to Louisville through Bellarmine University. Bellarmine University found out about Hearts in Motion and began taking yearly trips. Many of the college students were parishioners at St. Pius X church and approached the church for help, both financially and through prayers. St. Pius willingly helped the students. The first year was not the only year St. Pius helped college students travel to Guatemala - they did so for three more years. After the fourth year, it was decided that St. Pius would take their own trip. Now, here we are: Trips go every year from Bellarmine, St. Pius, and now Saints Polycarp and Clements. Over the years groups from the Louisville area have built schools, playgrounds, assisted in surgeries, painted murals, donated clothes, backpacks and toys, built a nutrition center, sent a semi-container full of supplies, and so much more. We only hope to continue in assisting Hearts in Motion in their mission of improving the lives of the people living in Guatemala. |
